MyDropBox has added the entire ABI/Inform database provided and maintained by the ProQuest Corporation to the set of sources searched by MyDropBox’s plagiarism detection services. This database includes full texts from over 1100 publication titles and about 2.7 million articles dating from 1971 to present time and is updated weekly.

In June-August 2004, MyDropBox will be moving its head
office to Canada to finalize its year-long preparation to business expansion
fueled by the angel investment received in summer 2003. The new office of
MyDropBox is located in the quite city of Mississauga, Ontario (Great
Toronto Area), and is equipped with the infrastructure necessary to host the
company's staff, teleconferencing and printing equipment. MyDropBox server
equipment will not be moved to the central office. MyDropBox is committed
to maintaining its robust network of geographically distributed datacenters,
ensuring highest possible availability of service in all regions. MyDropBox
will retain its business presence in the United States, and the US
operations will be managed by local sales representatives and the company's

The functionality of MyDropBox Originality Reports has been substantially enhanced with addition of new features. Now every MyDropBox report contains a list of sources from which the manuscript has been supposedly plagiarized. Also, new MyDropBox reports allow re-processing of papers ignoring selected sources, making it easy to check the documents that are legitimately published online and to correct the problem of same papers submitted more than once. The new Source Highlighting feature allows users to see the plagiarism source pages from the Internet or from our databases with the plagiarized part of the document highlighted for more convenient evaluation.

MyDropBox.com has just completed improving the interface of Originality Reports. New reports include an advanced feature – Source Comparison Screen, which is designed to assist users in analyzing the results of detection. The new window provides sentence-by-sentence comparison of original documents to their online sources, assisting MyDriopBox users to allocate direct evidences of plagiarism. The new screen provides links to online sources and informs of the exact percentage of plagiarism in any particular sentence.
