Please allow for about 24 hours of SafeAssignment downtime for migration (possibly more for very large institutions). You will need to uninstall SafeAssignment before beginning the migration, and the service will not be available to users until all your data is transferred to SafeAssign™ by Blackboard®

To migrate now, please do the following:

1. Go to SafeAssignment building block Properties page (System Admin -> Building Block Management), copy your Join Code to a safe place (for long-term storage). You will need it later to launch migration and access your institution.s data via SafeAssign, as well as for some future upgrades.

2. Remove the SafeAssignment Building Block™ from Blackboard

3. Obtain an Administrator account under your institutional MyDropBox license if you have not done this before. To do so, click on the New Users link at the top of the page. Fill in the registration form and enter your Join Code (the same as in the Properties form of the SafeAssignment Building Block) into the corresponding field of the form. After that, you will be able to login to the system from the MyDropBox.com web site using the login and password of your Administrator account (Note: it is NOT the login and password of your institutional SafeAssignment account).

4. Once you login, click on the "Migrate to SafeAssign" link in the Common Tasks area of the Administrator homepage.

5. Click on the "Migrate Now" button.

6. You will get an email notification as soon as your data is moved to SafeAssign by Blackboard. The email will be sent to the address used as your MyDropBox Administrator account login. You can also check the status of the process on the "Migrate to SafeAssign" page under Common Tasks.

7. Once you get a confirmation that migration is complete, install the SafeAssign by Blackboard Building Block (you should be able to download it from Behind the Blackboard.), go the Building Block's Properties page, enter your institution's name and your Join Code and click Submit. You should see the message "Connection: Established" indicating that your account was migrated successfully.
